SB 548 -- EXPIRED STATUTES

SPONSOR:  Champion (Byrd)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Judiciary by a vote of 15 to 0.

This bill requires the Joint Committee on Legislative Research to
file a report annually with the General Assembly which lists the
provisions of law that will be expiring within the next two
years.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will provide needed
information to legislators.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Champion.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
